See what every minute of your working time is worth, based on your salary and your actual schedule.
The formula
Annual salary ÷ total working minutes in a year. Working minutes = working days × hours per day × 60, where working days = days per week × 52 − paid leave and holidays.
Worked example
A salary of ₹6,00,000 a year with 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and 24 days of leave gives 236 working days and 113,280 working minutes, so each minute is worth about ₹5.30.
Frequently asked questions
Does it account for paid leave?
Leave and holidays are removed from working days, but the full salary is still counted because you are paid for them. This makes the per-working-minute value slightly higher.
